Christmas Celebration:

Christmas is a time to give and forgive. As part of our CBSE curriculum,student explore and celebrate all major festivals from around the world. It is part of exploring world cultures, being a global village and inculcating tolerance among the young ones.We celebrated with our kids. They disguised as Santa clauses and angels and we distributed cake to all.

Pongal Celebration:

Pongal is also celebrated as a thanksgiving festival for various Hindu deities. We celebrate with our kids & parents. Our school solemnize pongal celebration in a splendid manner. The students participated in the drama competition, did a magnificent job to make laurels to the pongal celebration and we are conducting competitions too in our school premises. The various celebrations and events like singing, dancing, drawing…. at the school were designed in a manner to evoke & expose the students’ innermost talentsC

Holi celebration:

The festival of colours was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Hayagrivar vidyaashram CBSE school. The students applied colours on each other. The teachers, led by the Principal Mrs Shanthi Ravindiran, played with safe, dry and organic colours.By the end of the day, the vibrant blues, pinks and yellows made every member of hayagrivar vidyaashram school look similar.

Truly Holi not only strengthens the bond of unity but it also makes us stronger as a family.

Janmashtami celebration:

There are nine incarnations of lord Vishnu.One of the incarnation happiest and enthusiastic lord Krishna’s birthday is celebrated in Hayagrivar vidyaashram. All children came in traditional dresses. Some boys came dresses as ‘Krishna’ and some girls came dresses as ‘Radha’. Beautiful decorations were put up to make this event more cheerful and colourful. A ‘Butter Pot’ event was also organized to mark the mischievous nature of ‘Bal Gopal’.

Diwali Celebration:

Diwali is the festival of lights that enlightens the heart and brings joy to every heart. Hayagrivar vidyaashram celebrated with lots of enthusiasm. The classrooms were decorated as per the festive spirit. The little ones along with the teachers came to school in traditional attire. Students exchanged sweets with their friends and had fun while showing their dance moves. All the children were happy and had fun, indeed. Our kids enjoyed by burning crackers, flower pot with sharing sweets to the poor kids.

Vinayaka Chaturthi:

Festivals build group cohesiveness. Festivals inform, educate, bring people together, break the monotony of routine and give us a chance to reenergize our body, mind and spirit. Of all festivals Ganesh chaturthi is a most colourfull.Vinayaka Chaturthi is celebrated in our school by disguising one of our students as lord Vinayaka and with traditional foods.It is a birth celebration of vinayaga. The festival is celebrated by installing lord Ganesha’s idol at school. After worship the festival ends with the immersion of the idol in the water body.The day ended with lot of learning and the visarjan of our eco-friendly Lord Ganesha in the school premises.

Raksha Bandhan:

Raksha Bandhan is a festival which celebrates the love and affection between brothers and sisters. The Students participated enthusiastically in the Rakhi making competition and the senior Students wrote letters to the families of Martyrs. Students tied the knot of affection on the wrists of all the helpers and guards of the School who actually help and protect them in School. The event definitely brought smiles on the faces of the students as well as the helpers who seemed much content with the way the festival was celebrated in the School.

Ramadan:

Ramzan was an opportunity to develop an awareness of the customs and traditions of the people living around us.We at Hayagrivar VidyaashramSchool celebrated the Ramzan Eid with great enthusiasm and vigour. The programme spread the message of sharing, respect for all religions.

Onam:

Onam is the Hindu festival celebrated annually, all over India with its origin in the kerala state. Onam fills the heart of people with gaiety, and brings them together to be a part of this vibrant and cultural festival.The festivities of Onam reflects the traditions and culture of kerala in the most unique way.In school boys wore dhoti and girls wore kerala saree.athapoo kolam is also done in school by kids.

Children day:

Children’s Day holds a special place for everyone. The students and teachers of hayagrivar Vidyaashram celebrated the occasion and the birthday of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru with utmost joy and excitement. Competitions like fancy dress, drawing ,speech is also conducted in school to motivate the children.
Mercy day:

Mercy is kindness exercised toward the miserable, and includes pity, compassion, forbearance, and gentleness, which the Scriptures so abundantly ascribe to God.” – Charles Hodge5

We are celebrating mercy day in our school with kids on every first Monday of each month. They donate pencil box, old clothes, candies to kids who needs it.

Appreciation day:

The best performers are awarded with smiley badges, smiley balls, goggles, pens, pencils and they are dressed up like kings and queens during Saturdays.
